Elizabeth J. Johnson, MD, MPH, is a well-versed emergency medicine physician who diagnoses and treats patients at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, NJ. She joined Hoboken University Medical Center in 2018 following the completion of her residency training. Concerned about the worsening opioid epidemic for several years, Dr. Johnson first became involved in public policy work surrounding the issue while a Health Policy Fellow for Congressman Raul Ruiz (2013-2014). She served as the Clinical Director of the Lincoln Hospital Opioid Overdose Prevention Program where she worked closely with representatives at the NY Department of Health, addiction specialists at the hospital, and various other departments, to acquire and distribute intranasal naloxone kits.
